The Slovak government approved three current programs of Slovak Research and Development Agency (SRDA) for the years 2016 - 2019. The first program is "Support for building human infrastructure", which focuses specifically on young scientists.
It is a systematic support for postdoctoral jobs, as well as support for top young scientific teams with the participant´s age up to 35 years. The aim is the reintegration of long-acting scientists from abroad and foreign scientists to return to the Slovak workplaces.
The second program is "Support research and development in enterprises and businesses and promotion of cooperation of enterprises with research organizations“, which will deal with the stimulation of product and technological innovation in enterprises. The program will allow expanding of cooperation of Slovak firms in the field of research, development and innovation at the European level, and at the same time, it will create conditions for the solution of new projects.
The last program is designed to support increased participation of Slovak organizations in Horizon 2020 projects. Applicants for the grant under this program will be able to raise funds from the agency to refinance the project preparation. In addition, projects that will get high marks from experts of the European Commission, but they will not reach the narrowest selection committee, they will receive funds from the SRDA.
Entrepreneurs, universities and other organizations from state and non-profit sector will be eligible to submit project applications. It is assumed that the new programs will get about € 97.2 million in the years 2016 -2023.
