New JRC website for comparing research and innovation

Support of Innovation

On 17th February 2016, the European Commission launched a website Research and Innovation Observatory Horizon 2020 - Policy Support Facility. The site allows benchmarking of research and innovation and supporting of Horizon 2020 policies.

This instrument is designed to monitor and analyze developments in the field of research and innovation across the EU and thus encourage the creation of better policies. The JRC (Joint Research Centre) publishes annually, in cooperation with national experts, national reports RIO. The reports document the development of national research and innovation policies and identify the main challenges for the establishment of new strategies. The website provides a thematic analysis reports also. The new website allows you to sort the information by countries, including reports, statistics and visualization of key indicators.

European Researchers' Night

The festival of science - European Researchers' Night is an annually organized event throughout Europe. The ERN is the largest of its kind in Slovakia and Europe, bringing together people and researchers in 300 cities in about 25 countries on the last Friday of September. This year´s edition will take place on 29 September 2023 and you can look forward to the 17th anniversary of the science festival in Slovakia.
