On 2nd August 2016, Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic announced under the Operational Programme Research and Innovation a call for proposals to promote innovation and technology transfer.
The aim of the published call for proposals is to support projects aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of production and technological processes in enterprises. Supported projects can be implemented on the territory of Slovakia except for the Bratislava region. Small, medium and large enterprises can be supported. Eligible expenses include acquisition of property plant and equipment (purchase of production facilities and the provision of services, technological units, etc.) and non-current intangible assets (purchase of software licenses and other intangible assets etc.), and that in order to implement innovative measures resulting in a product or process innovation.
Allocation for the call is € 175 million. Minimum amount of the grant for a project is € 100 000 and the maximum is € 5 million/project. The call will be closed following the exhaustion of allocated funds, while the date for the closure of the first evaluation round is 30 September 2016.
