Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic as one of the coordinators of the area 07 (Knowledge Society) of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) was mandated by the European Commission to organize a tender for working out the study of feasibility for Danube Region Research and Innovation Fund (DRRIF).
The study was conducted in June 2015 and its main aim is to analyze the possibilities for support of research and innovation activities in the Danube region. The study also contains information on the absorption capacity of research and development, possibilities of cooperation of the Danube countries with existing grant schemes as well as an analysis of possible research priorities in the region. The results should serve as a basis for further intensification of cooperation between the countries of the Danube region in research and innovations.
