Until November 30, 2015, government institutions, universities, Slovak Academy of Sciences and research organizations of Slovak Ministries can submit a list of jobs that they want to occupy by Slovak experts living abroad.

Slovaks that graduated at prestigious foreign universities or work on a long-term leading position abroad will be then able to apply for these vacancies under the support scheme Homecoming. A goal of call declared by the Council of support scheme for the return of experts from abroad (which is a body of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak republic) is to create a sufficiently attractive incentive for professionals to return to Slovakia.

Eligible organizations may submit positions related to the support schemes for the two groups of applicants, namely for young professionals (individuals under 40 years who have completed university studies abroad) and experts (individuals who are professionally active abroad for more than ten years as highly qualified employees). Graduates of prestigious foreign schools who are less than 40 years and in the last three years worked abroad, they will be motivated to EUR 10 000. Slovaks who work on leadership or other significant positions abroad for more than 10 years can receive up to 50,000 Euros.

An eligible institution bringing the position for the experts may receive financial support for the institution of a maximum amount of 150,000 euros. This institutional support is intended to create adequate working position and the associated support for a limited period of time.

The list of approved jobs proposers notify the Council of the Ministry of Education within three weeks after the deadline for submission of proposals (i.e. until 20. December 2015). The Ministry of Education in cooperation with the Finance Ministry of Slovak Republic earmarked to the support scheme for the return of experts from abroad annually one million euros (until 2018).
