Slovakia has become one of the main initiators and supporters of the development of the innovation and startup ecosystem in Albania. In cooperation with Slovak and foreign experts, we managed to implement several activities that change the system of support for start-up entrepreneurs. The activities we started with our Albanian partners are already supported by institutions from Switzerland and the EU.

Thanks to the financial support of SlovakAid, the Slovak Organization for Research and Development Activities (SOVVA) has been operating in Albania since 2016. Our goal is primarily to support the creation of an innovative business environment. This was also the goal of the project in which 15 Albanian and Kosovar start-up companies went through two acceleration programs.
