INNOVATIONS FROM THE HEART OF EUROPE
Central Europe is trying to position itself as a European innovation powerhouse with a vibrant startup ecosystem. Closer cooperation of Visegrad countries, together representing a market of 65+ million people, is crucial for the introduction of this region as a relevant stakeholder on the global innovation and startup scene. Furthermore, the expansion of innovative companies to the US market is critical for their global success.Sovva (SK) as the lead partner, jointly with its partners StartupYard (CZ), Polish Confederation Lewiatan and Hungarian Association for Innovation organize a V4 - Startup Tech Match event in Silicon Valley on April 21-23, 2015.

The project will:

  • Bring 12 startups from Visegrad countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) to Silicon Valley, pitching to US investors and visiting world’s most innovative companies,
  • Enhance visibility of the innovation & startup potential within Visegrad countries abroad, namely in Silicon Valley,
  • Establish a Visegrad platform for startups in Silicon Valley.

European Researchers' Night

The festival of science - European Researchers' Night is an annually organized event throughout Europe. The ERN is the largest of its kind in Slovakia and Europe, bringing together people and researchers in 300 cities in about 25 countries on the last Friday of September. This year´s edition will take place on 29 September 2023 and you can look forward to the 17th anniversary of the science festival in Slovakia.
