Joint programming initiatives in the field of climate change (Joint Programming Initiative - Climate JPI) published a revised version of the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA), which will determine the main activities JPI climate in the years 2016 – 2025. JPI Climate is a European intergovernmental organization coordinating transnational research activities related to climate. The Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) sets out three overarching challenges:
1. Understanding the processes and consequences of climate change
2. Improving knowledge on climate-related decision-making processes and measures
3. Researching sustainable societal transformation in the context of climate change and the Strategic
and one mechanism: Connecting people, problems and solutions in a systemic approach.
The vision of JPI Climate is to actively inform and enable the transition to a low emission, climate resilient economy, society and environment that is aligned with Europe’s long-term climate policy objectives.
