Second year of the European Researchers‘ Night
The goal of the project was to show that researchers are people like us, but also to present them as the ‘stars you don’t know about yet’. Stars who enjoy a fascinating job, looking for the undiscovered and research the unknown. This year’s events gave the public a chance to get to know the researchers personally and to become part of this remarkable world for a few magical moments.
The spirit of the main event of the project, which took place in Aupark shopping centre in Bratislava on September 26th and 27th, 2008, was fun intermingled with the ubiquitous science. Its main idea was to introduce scientists and researchers as common people living among us but also the results of their work, which often make our life much easier. The event gave us a unique chance to meet them and get carried away to the fascinating world of research and science – into a world which seems far removed, but is all around us…
