Prof. Štefan Medvecký (a director of the Institute for Competitiveness and Innovation of the University of Žilina) was a member of the delegation of the President of the Slovak Republic Mr. Andrej Kiska that visited Chile and Argentina in early August. The program also included a visit of three major universities and sharing of experience in education.
Debate on extending a cooperation in the future resulted in the signing of cooperation agreements between the University of Žilina and the Federico Santa María Technical University (Chile). The memorandum of cooperation was concluded with the National Technical University, Buenos Aires also.
“We agreed to develop mutual cooperation in education and scientific research, with emphasis on the development of academic programs, mutual exchanges of teachers and students and research cooperation," said prof. Štefan Medvecký.
