Popularization and commercialization

The 12th annual event of Week of science and technology in Slovakia will be held from 9 to 15 November 2015 in Slovakia and it aims to improve the perception of science and technology in the awareness of the whole society. In Slovakia, the history of the event began in 2004, when Slovakia as a new member of the European Union, for the first time joined the European Week of Science.

 The Week of Science and Technology in Slovakia is annually organized by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic; Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information and National Center for the Popularization of Science and Technology in Society.

The program includes a wide range of activities from competitions for the youngest through lectures, a film festival to open days of various scientific institutions of Slovakia.

European Researchers' Night

The festival of science - European Researchers' Night is an annually organized event throughout Europe. The ERN is the largest of its kind in Slovakia and Europe, bringing together people and researchers in 300 cities in about 25 countries on the last Friday of September. This year´s edition will take place on 29 September 2023 and you can look forward to the 17th anniversary of the science festival in Slovakia.
